In the UK, BLOOD RED ROAD has been shortlisted for the The Costa Book Award in the Children's category


The Costa Book Award is one of the UK's most prestigious and popular literary prizes and recognises some of the most enjoyable books of the year by writers based in the UK and Ireland. The Costa is the only prize which places children's books alongside adult books in this way.


BLOOD RED ROAD has also been longlisted for the prestigious Carnegie Award 2012.


The Carnegie Medals are awarded by CILIP, the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. CILIP is the leading professional body for librarians and information managers and the selection process is organised by the Youth Libraries Group (YLG).
