The Gordon Burn Prize is a partnership between the Gordon Burn Trust, New Writing North, Durham Book Festival and Faber & Faber. The winning writer will receive a cheque for £5,000 and will be offered the opportunity to undertake a writing retreat of up to three months at Gordon Burn’s cottage in Berwickshire in the Scottish Borders. We are happy to report that Aitken Alexander author’s Harry Parker and Jeremy Gavron have been shortlisted for the Prize for their respective books, Anatomy of a Soldier and A Woman on the Edge of Time.
The winner of the Gordon Burn Prize 2016 will be announced at Durham Book Festival on Friday 7 October.
