Charles Moore

Charles Hilary Moore was born in 1956. He was educated at Eton and received a degree in History from Trinity College, Cambridge. He joined the editorial staff of the Daily Telegraph in 1979 and became a Political Columnist there in 1983. He was editor of the Spectator from 1984-90, editor of the Sunday Telegraph from 1990-1992 and editor of The Daily Telegraph from 1995-2003. He is now Group Consulting Editor of the Telegraph. Charles Moore’s books include 1936 as recorded by “The Spectator” (with Christopher Hawtree), The Church in Crisis (with Gavin Stamp and A.N.Wilson) and A Tory Seer: the selected journalism of T.E.Utley (Ed.with Simon Heffer). He is also the authorized biographer of Margaret Thatcher. Charles Moore is married with children.
